Special thermography training bench
The C.A 1875 training bench has been specially designed for teaching.
It mainly comprises a heating plate and several sheets of different materials, a plexiglas screen and a system of slots with different widths. By means of examples taking the form of practical exercises, it can be used to illustrate the various possible sources of errors when measuring with a thermographic camera.
Multiple experiments help to define the problems which may be encountered during measurement:
- emissivity of materials
- positioning
- reflection
- transmission (plexiglas screen)
- spatial resolution (variable slot widths)
